Sivalinge Gowda of JDS resigned as MLA
Araseikere Constituency Member of Legislative Assembly Sivalinge Gowda submitted his resignation to Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri today.
He submitted his resignation letter to Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegade Kageri at Shirasi in Uttara Kannada district. Sivalinge Gowda, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly from Arasikere in 2008, 2013 and 2018 by the JDS party, arrived in Shirsi with more than five hundred supporters and submitted his resignation to the Speaker.
Commenting on his resignation, he said that he left the party due to a minor disagreement with JDS leaders. Minor disagreement over MLC election leads to resignation. Anyone can defect in politics. Brothers and sisters will be different. He said that as per the opinion of the activists, he left JD(S) and joined Congress.
